Help & FAQ
VPNBW Help Center
Find step-by-step instructions by issue. Check your subscription status first, then review your client and selected server. For personal assistance, submit a support ticket through the user panel.
Account / subscription
Account & subscription
From creating an account to importing a configuration, start by checking the current subscription in your user panel, then review the details shown in your client. When switching devices, use the current panel link to avoid relying on an outdated configuration.
What do I need to create a VPNBW account?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password from the user panel. Choose a memorable username and a unique password, then check your plans and subscription details in the panel. Keep your login details safe. If you only want to check prices first, visit the pricing page before deciding whether to get a plan.
Do I need to buy another subscription when I switch devices?
You don't need to buy another subscription just because you switch devices. VPNBW supports simultaneous connections on unlimited devices and works on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux. Sign in to the user panel on your new device, get the compatible client and your current subscription, then follow the platform's import steps to connect. When you stop using an old device, remove the subscription from its client so you don't mistake an outdated configuration for the current one.
How do I update the subscription link in my client?
First, check your subscription status in the user panel. Then go to subscription management in your client and choose Update or re-import. Wait for the server list to finish loading, then test a server. If the client still shows the old list, make sure you imported the subscription currently provided in the panel, then try closing and reopening the client. Don't post your subscription link publicly. If the issue persists, open a support ticket through the panel and include your platform and the error message.
Where can I get the right client for my device?
Choose Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux from the client download section in the user panel. Don't rely on search results or similarly named files to identify an official client. After installation, follow the panel's instructions to import your subscription. Make sure the server list appears in the client before connecting. If a page says you need an active subscription first, check your plan status in the panel.
Connection / troubleshooting
Connection & troubleshooting
Treat “can't connect,” “connected but pages won't load,” and “only one app isn't working” as separate issues. Include your platform, server and error message when reporting a problem to avoid repeating the same steps.
What should I check if the client won't connect at all?
First, make sure your device can open regular websites. Then check your subscription status in the user panel and confirm the subscription list in your client is up to date. Try a server in another region, and check that your system has granted the client the network permissions it needs. If every server fails, note your platform, server name, error message and approximate time, then submit a support ticket through the panel. Don't include your full subscription link in the ticket.
Connected, but websites won't load. What should I do?
Test a few different websites to see whether the issue affects one site or all of them. Then check that your client is using a proxy mode suited to what you're doing, and make sure your browser isn't using outdated network settings. Disconnect and try another server. If only one domain fails, include the domain, selected server and exact error message in your ticket; that helps us investigate more than a general report that a site won't open.
Why isn't a particular app using the proxy?
First, check whether your browser on the same device can reach the service through the current server. If the browser works but the app doesn't, check your client's routing rules or proxy mode: the current rules may not be handling the app's traffic. Switch to a suitable mode, restart the app and try again. If the issue only occurs on a particular network, send support your platform, app name, selected server and steps to reproduce it.
How can I troubleshoot frequent connection drops?
When the connection drops, check whether your device's regular internet connection drops too. Then compare different servers on the same network. On mobile, check whether the system restricts the client from running in the background. On desktop, review the client's network permissions and check for other proxy settings that may also be active. In your ticket, include when it happened, your platform and server name, and whether the connection recovered on its own. This helps distinguish local network interruptions from server issues.

Speed / regions
Speed & servers
First, identify the exit region your service requires, then compare servers. The right things to check differ for websites, ongoing sessions and streaming, so test under the same network conditions.
How do I switch servers when things slow down during peak hours?
Pause bandwidth-heavy downloads, then try another server in the same region and compare page loading and your usual activity. If the service you're accessing requires a specific exit region, keep that region and switch only the server. If there's no regional requirement, try a nearby region. Test on the same device and network so local changes aren't mistaken for server performance changes. If the slowdown continues, note the time and server name and submit a ticket.
What do 120+ countries and 190+ servers mean?
VPNBW's network covers 120+ countries and 190+ servers. Countries refer to the available exit regions; servers are the connection options shown in the client or user panel. These figures don't guarantee a particular speed or access to any specific website. When choosing a server, first check which region the service requires, then compare the available options. The current server and region listings in the panel are the most accurate source.
Which servers should I use with AI tools?
First, check which regions your chosen tool supports, then select an international server in one of those regions. For web-based tools, check that pages load reliably. For developer tools that need ongoing sessions, pay attention to disconnects and request timeouts. If a server doesn't perform well, keep the region the same and try another server. Account status, service restrictions and network connectivity are separate issues, so check them individually.
What should I do if a streaming service says my region doesn't match?
Check that the selected server's exit region matches the region for the content. Fully close the streaming app or related pages, reconnect, then reopen it. If the message remains, try another server in the same region and check whether the app has retained location information from before. Content libraries and playback access are also subject to the platform's account settings and policies. If you submit a ticket, include the platform, content region, selected server and exact message.

Billing / refunds
Billing & refunds
Monthly plan data resets on the activation date; data packages remain valid until used and never expire. Check your order details in the panel before changing plans or requesting a refund.
What monthly plans are available, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on the day you activate your plan. Choose based on your actual usage during a billing cycle, not just the listed price. Check available plans and your current subscription status in the user panel. If you want to change plans, review the upgrade details in the panel before confirming.
What's the difference between a data package and a monthly plan?
Data packages remain valid until used and never expire. Options are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. Monthly plan data resets each month on the day you activate your plan. If your usage varies from month to month, compare both billing options with your usage habits. Before ordering, check your selection in the user panel so you don't mistake a data package for a plan that resets monthly.
What happens to the cost if I upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle?
When you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. Before upgrading, check your current plan, the plan you're switching to and the change details shown in the user panel, then decide whether to proceed. Monthly plan data still resets on the activation date. Don't estimate the final amount from the listed prices alone; use the amount shown in the panel at confirmation.
How do I request a refund, and which payment methods are supported?
VPNBW offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, open a support ticket through the user panel, include the relevant order and your refund request, and review the full terms on the refund policy page. Don't share order details publicly. Supported payment methods are Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT. Before paying, check the plan and billing option on the pricing page to avoid choosing a monthly plan when you meant to get a data package, or vice versa.
